Between 1st Nov 2009 and 16th Nov 2009, numerous cases of mischief to vehicle were reported at your neighbourhood car park. Most of the affected vehicles were found with scratches and dents. In a few of the cases, the cars’ windscreens were also smashed. There are more than 8 cases were reported around Hougang Central and Serangoon Avenue 1.

CRIME PREVENTION (STRATEGIES):
While police have intensified patrols at your neighbourhood, you can prevent your vehicle from becoming the next target by adopting the following crime prevention measures:
- Park your vehicle in a well-lit area;
- Install a motion camera or CCTV in your vehicle;
- Install an anti-theft alarm;
- Use a canvas sheet to cover your parked vehicle.
